Graduation Portrait Sessions

I am pleased to let you know J Leon Photography is now offering Graduation Portrait Sessions!

Graduation is a milestone event in life, which deserves to be commemorated. A Graduation Portrait Session is all about you and all the things that make you, you. Are you in to music, sports, fashion or shopping? Whatever you are, is what your images will be!

As a special introduction to J Leon Graduation Portrait Sessions I am also pleased to announce a limited number of complimentary sessions! Contact Salon Montage located at 110-8 Mcleod Avenue in Spruce Grove 780.960.9282 to find out how you can secure your complimentary Graduation Portrait Session.

Erin is an athletic gal who loves fashion and basketball! She also really enjoys collecting Jordan shoe's. We had a fun time shooting some images that are personal and specific to who Erin is and what she's about. :)

The Blood Lines!

The Blood Lines are a great band from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan!  They are the music on my home page.  This band is extremley talented and they are going places!  Check out their web site, listen to some of their other songs on MySpace, then go buy their album on iTunes.

The Blood Lines are in the midst of recording their second album with some big time producer, they're gonna be huge!

When The Blood Lines played a show at the Velvet Undergound in Edmonton I was lucky enough to hook up with them for a few shots.  We were short on time, but still got some great shots!

Seriously, check this band out!  :)

Jason & Elizabeth - Trash The Dress

Not long after the ANTI-workshop I had the opportunity to do a "Trash The Dress" session. I speak of that workshop and this TTD session together because John Michael Cooper is the dress trashing master, he basically invented the genre!

Anyway, HUGE props to Jason & Elizabeth for being game for this! Sorry Elizabeth, your dress will never be the same! ;) Oh well, it was just going to sit in a closet anyway. :p

Here are a few shots.

Jason & Elizabeth weren't the only wet ones that day. These shots would not have been possible unless I got in the water as well! I'll never ask people to do something I'm not willing to do. Wasn't exactly the warmest day, but totally worth it!

This image I was going to put in a magazine as an ad, but every one I showed it to said it was "too scary" to be a wedding ad. I just love this shot though, I don't think it's scary, but I remember how much fun we were having taking it! :) I opted not to run the ad, but maybe I should anyway, what do you all think?

Anti-Workshop Seattle

I know, I know, I'm a late blogger, but better late then never right!  :)

I had the privilege of going to The ANTI-workshop last year in Seattle.  Click the link, click past events, click Seattle;  that's me attempting "Blue Steel" with an inflatable pig!  :)  LOL!

Many thanks to John & Dalisa Cooper of altF in Las Vegas and Doug & Chenin Boutwell of Boutwell Studio in SoCal.  This workshop was full of information and inspiration which helped push my photography to new and exciting places.

Here is a (anti) portrait I took of John Michael Cooper during this workshop.  :)

I also want to send a big thank you to Marisa Holmes.  Marisa is a photographer from Southern California who volunteered to be our model for the day, we shot some different & fun shots.  Here are a few of my favorites!  :)

Sam & Amy

Here's a few of my favorite images from a wedding last year. Their ceremony took place at The Wedding Gardens just outside of Stony Plain, most of these images are from this beautiful venue. We went downtown Edmonton for some fun shots. :)
